Artist Submissions
2010 Artist Submissions Package
Beginning February 5, 2010, artists may begin submitting information for the 2010 Christian Acappella Music Awards. Information for submissions includes the following:
- Artist Photos – Artists may submit photos of their group in either digital or print format. Photos must be properly labeled and will be cataloged by NACAMA for the 2010 Christian Acappella Music Awards, thereby becoming property of NACAMA Media. Therefore, please do not send Originals to NACAMA.
- Applicable Audio Recordings – As part of the nominations in the categories of Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year, audio recordings must be submitted. Please note: Audio recordings submitted for nomination purposes are submitted separate and apart from those submitted for performance consideration, and therefore, any audio submitted for artists seeking to perform at the 2010 Christian Acappella Music Awards weekend must be submitted along with the artist package.
- Artist Biographical Information – Artist biographical information needs to be submitted electronically, through either he NACAMA website or by email. Please be sure that the biography submitted is up current as of October, 2009. Please Note: The NACAMA Media Archive of biographical information may not include information submitted from prior years and therefore it is best to submit new information even if you have previously submitted a biography to CAMA.
- Listing of All Members of Group – A listing of all current performing members of a group should be submitted in addition to the artist biographical information. Please submit information with the subject line Artist Listing – [Group Name]. Submit email to [submissions@nacama.com]
- All other applicable information – You may submit any other information, i.e. press clipping, touring schedule, etc. that you would deem necessary to present a complete image of the group.
- Friday, February 5, 2010 – The Submissions packet for the 2010 Christian Acappella Music Awards is distributed
- Monday, May 3, 2010 – Submission packages must be postmarked by this date.
- Monday, June 7, 2010 – Nomination Packages will be distributed to CAMA Advisory Panel
- Monday, June 21, 2010 – Performance Information Packages must be postmarked by this date
- Monday, August 30, 2010 – Nominees for the 2010 Christian Acappella Music Awards will be announced
- Album Title – List the title of the Album in full

Artist – The following apply for Artist name submission
List only principle performers. Featured (Non-Primary) artists are only to be named as principles if they perform on more than 30 percent of album (e.g. Ten track album = 3 songs featured.)
For Compilation albums, use only the term “Various”
- Producer – List a maximum of 3 producers for Album
- Track Listing – List number of Tracks, excluding Intros and Outros.

Category – Use an appropriate category listing [contemporary, traditional, choral, or other]
The “Other” listing should only be applied when no other listing seems appropriate. Album will be classified by The NACAMA panel.
- Song Title
- Song Author – List the Name of Writers in spaces provided.
- Song Title
- Song Performers – List the Name of Performers in spaces provided.
- Song Producer – List the Name of the Producer of the Song in the space provided. Category limit specifies that only one producer may be listed.
- Title of Video
- Performer – List only the principle performer in the video.
- Video Director – List the Name of the Director of the Song in the space provided. Category limit specifies that only one Director may be listed.
- Artist Name

Timeline for Submissions & Nominations
Section One – Special Recognition
The Following sections must be filled out completely; For submission of track listings and other pertinent information, please include separately as an enclosure within submission packet.
Album of the Year – Category #1 is presented for The Album of the Year, a non categorical listing.
Record of the Year – Category #2 is presented to the songwriter of a composition. The submission in this category is limited to 4 songwriters.
Song of the Year – Category #3 is presented to the performer of a composition. The submission in this category is limited to principle performers and featured artists. The Following Information must be submitted.
Video of the Year – Category #4 is presented to both the performer in and directory of a video. The submission in this category is limited to video directors within the Church of Christ. The Following Information must be submitted.
Artist of the Year/New Artist of the Year – Category #5 & Category #6 are presented to artists on the basis of excellence within the world of Christian Acappella Music. For Category #5 & Category #6 only name of artist should be submitted. Though there is no certain requirement that the Artist submitted have a current album out, It should be noted that this may not be the only category that an artists name is submitted for. Please fill out name in space provided for category #5 or # 6.
Section Two – General Recognition
In section 02 of the Submission packet, only name of the artist is needed to satisfy the submission guidelines. It must be noted that the filling out of the submission entry form on the first page is essential in that there proper address and contact information will be taken from there.
Traditional Artist of the Year – Category #7 is the Traditional Artist of the Year. The submission in this category is open to any artist, be they individual or a group. Submission may not overlap with category #8 in that the same artist shall not be considered for both category #7 and category #8. Please submit the following on the form:
Contemporary Artist of the Year – Category #8 is the Contemporary Artist of the Year. The submission in this category is open to any artist, be they individual or a group. Submission may not overlap with category #7 in that the same artist shall not be considered for both category #7 and category #8. Please submit the following on the form:
Male Vocalist of the Year – Category #9 is designated as Male Vocalist of the Year and is classified as an individual award, meaning that this award will be presented to an individual artist.. Submission is open to any male vocalist, be they classified as a solo artist or whether they perform as a member of a group. Please submit the following on the form:
Female Vocalist of the Year – Category #10 is designated as Female Vocalist of the Year and is classified as an individual award, meaning that this award will be presented to an individual artist. Submission is open to any female vocalist, be they classified as a solo artist or whether they perform as a member of a group. Please submit the following on the form:
Section Three – Youth
Section Three of the Submission package pertains only to youth. Category #12 & Category #13 are returning in 2010 and replace the Youth Project of the Year category. While a youth artist can submit information within any other category, only youth artists can submit information for youth categories #12 & 13. only name of the artist is needed to satisfy the submission guidelines in Category #12. It must be noted that the filling out of the submission entry form on the first page is essential in that there proper address and contact information will be taken from there. There is currently no identifiable classification for Youth besides the general scope of view of what a Youth Artist is. In instances where there is a question of whether an artist can be classified as a youth artist, NACAMA reserves the right to make final judgment.
Artist of the Year, Youth – Category #12 is a new category for 2008. presented to artists on the basis of excellence within the world of Christian Acappella Music.
Youth Album of the Year – Category #13 is presented for The Album of the Year, Youth, a youth-specific category.
Section Four – Choral
Section Four of the Submission package pertains only to choral groups. .
Choral Group of the Year – Category #16 is a new category for 2008. presented to artists on the basis of excellence within the world of Christian Acappella Music.
Album of the Year, Choral – Category #17 is presented for The Album of the Year, Choral, a chorus-specific category.
Album Title – List the title of the Album in full
Choral Director of the Year – Category #18 is designated as Choral Director of the Year and is classified as an individual award, meaning that this award will be presented to an individual director of a Choral Group. Submission is open to any director of any classifiable choral group (ensemble, mass or otherwise). Please submit the following on the form:
Please Note – The gap in Category numbers represent Categories for which no submission is possible. Nomination for these categories will be determined by the National Academy of Christian Acappella Music Artists 2010 Nominations committee.
